Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis. Discus Trace contains only those elements actually demonstrated* to be required by fish.
Aquarium salt is often used to add salts back to aquarium water. Some fish will tolerate this therapeutic use of salt; however, some fish are less tolerant. Discus as a species will not tolerate this elevated level of sodium in the water. If you keep live plants in your discus aquarium, the plants will not tolerate this either. Discus Trace is a well rounded trace mineral supplement that does not contain sodium and is used to replenish trace and ultra trace minerals that are demonstrated to be necessary for fish health and growth.

Unlike highly toxic and difficult to use formalin based medications, ParaGuard contains no formaldehyde or methanol and will not alter pH. ParaGuard employs a proprietary, synergistic blend of aldehydes, malachite green, and fish protective polymers that effectively and efficiently eradicates many ectoparasites (e.g. ich, etc.) and external fungal/bacterial/viral lesions (e.g., fin rot). It is particularly useful in hospital and receiving tanks for new fish and whenever new fish are introduced to a community tank.

Owners and breeders of various fish and animals such as fighting fish, discus, shrimp, crawfish and pecostomus use the leaves for the treatment of bacterial ailments, and also to heal injuries of fish, such as bites or transportation wounds. The risk of wound infections is tremendously decreased when our catappa leaves are being used. The mucous membranes are strengthened. It is remarkable that bacteria useful to the aquarium are verifiably not impaired when catappa leaves are being used. When transporting fish, it is strongly recommended to add catappa leaves or a small piece of catappa bark to the water used. This decreases the susceptibility and stress significantly which the animals experience from high concentrations of bacteria. When it comes to breeding, catappa leaves help promote the mating disposition of your fish, and reduce spawn fungi. By releasing humic acids and tanning agents, catappa leaves create a natural surrounding and increase the vitality and well-being of your aquarium occupants.
Usage: Put the leaf directly into the aquarium. One leaf is sufficient for approx. 30 – 50 l of water. The leaf will sink to the bottom of the aquarium within 24 – 48 h. There, it will release its active agents to the water within a period of approx. 14 days. After that, you may introduce a fresh leaf to the aquarium. The used catappa leaf can remain in the aquarium as additional feed or hide-out for crustaceans and shrimps, or may be discarded. Catappa leaves can be kept for an indefinite period of time if stored at a dry place. Since it is a purely natural product, changes in form, color and size may occur.

StressGuard binds to exposed protein in wounds to promote healing of injured fish and to reduce the likelihood of primary and secondary infections. StressGuard does not coat resins or clog filtration like competing “slime coat” type products can. What makes StressGuard very successful at healing is the fact that it contains protein active colloids. Hobby Alder Cones (50 pcs)

Humins in the aquarium provide for plant growth by releasing nitrogen, phosphor and sulphur to the water, for a gentle decrease of the pH value and the water becoming of a natural yet crystal clear colouring, just as many of our aquarium inhabitants prefer it in their natural environment. Even for animals not originating from such regions, the Alder Cones offer additional benefits.
The tanning agents provide the benefit of naturally inhibiting germs harmful to your animals such as bacteria and fungi spores. Therefore, the use of Alder Cones is ideal also if you wish to promote the reproduction of your fish. It is only thanks to the ‘blackwater effect’ that animals become ready to spawn. The tanning agents will help greatly in avoiding fungal infestation of the spawn. Once the breed has hatched you can watch them develop and grow better and look for food particles on the Alder Cones. Shrimp and various other animals will frequent the small cones too in order to graze on them, grate at them or hide out.

Use: Put the Alder Cones directly into the aquarium water. 1 cone is sufficient for approx. 10 - 20 liters. The cones will sink to the aquarium bottom within a few minutes and start releasing their active agents soon. The Alder Cones should be replaced every 2 - 3 weeks. The used cones may stay in the aquarium as additional fee for crabs and shrimps or may be discarded. Our Alder Cones can be kept almost infinitely if stored at a dry place. As they are a pure natural product, they may vary in form, color and size.

Owners and breeders of various fish and animals such as fighting fish, discus, shrimp, crawfish and pecostomus use the leaves and bark for the treatment of bacterial ailments, and also to heal injuries of fish, such as bites or transportation wounds. The risk of wound infections is tremendously decreased when our catappa leaves and catappa bark pieces are being used. The effect of catappa bark is similar to that of catappa leaves (Catappa Leaves), but considerably stronger. The comprised humic acid and tanning agents strengthen the mucous membranes of the fish and make it difficult for bacterial pathogens to permeate this protection. Likewise, the bark pieces are conducive to the reproduction and breeding of your fish. On the one hand, they promote the mating disposition of your fish, on the other they reduce fungi spawn. Even the growth of blue algae (cyanobacteria) will be inhibited by the compounds. It is remarkable, too, that the bacteria useful to the aquarium are verifiably not impaired. When transporting fish, it is strongly recommended to a add a small piece of catappa bark or catappa leaves to the water used. This decreases the susceptibility and stress significantly which the animals experience from the high concentrations of bacteria. You may as well condition your fresh water with our catappa bark pieces before you conduct a water change. This helps reduce stress for you fish. By releasing humic acids and tanning agents, catappa bark creates a natural surrounding and increases the vitality and well-being of your aquarium inhabitants. It is good to know that the retrieval of the bark, no tree is being harmed nor perished.
Usage: Put a piece of bark directly into the aquarium. One piece of catappa bark is sufficient for approx. 100 l of water. The bark will sink to the bottom of the aquarium in a little while. Should you need a fast disposal of the active ingredients, infuse the catappa bark quickly in hot water. Usually, the active agents in our catappa bark are released to the water during a period of approx. 3 weeks. After that, you may introduce a fresh piece to the aquarium. The used catappa bark piece can remain in the aquarium as additional feed or hide-out for crustaceans and shrimps, or may be discarded. Pond Stability will also prevent and reduce sludge build up. Pond Stability is formulated specifically for the pond and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The bacteria employed by Pond Stability are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Pond Stability is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use. Pond Stability is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management.
The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc. When any of these parameters are not strictly within the proper range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Nitrospira bacteria are particularly notorious for being difficult to culture. Pond Stability does not contain any of the aforementioned bacteria. Seachem Pond Salt
Regular price Dhs. 204.50 Save Dhs. -204.50Seachem Pond Salt is a chemically sound blend of salts designed to replicate the native ionic environment of goldfish and koi without adversely impacting on pond plants when used at the recommended dosage. It can also be useful to temporarily reduce nitrite toxicity in an emergency situation. It does not impact pH. For pH control, use Pond Acid Buffer or Pond pH Buffer.
Pond Salt is more than just a simple sodium chloride product. Other salts can burn leaves and roots in a planted pond. However, Pond Salt does not cause this type of damage, and actually provides many nutrients crucial to healthy plant growth. Pond Salt is a safe and effective alternative to the sodium chloride based pond salts so prevalent.
Directions: When setting up a pond and when making water changes: 100 g (5 tablespoons) for each 200 L (50 US gallons). This amount will yield 0.5 ppt. Once every 6 months: 250 g (12.5 tablespoons) for each 200 L (50 US gallons). For emergency relief of nitrite toxicity: 1 kg (3 US cups) for each 200 L (50 US gallons). Once nitrite toxicity has subsided a water change should be initiated to reduce salinity. (Please note: nitrite levels do not fall, only the toxicity to the fish). The presence of high levels of nitrite indicates a problem with the biofilter. Use Pond Stability to restore and maintain the pond biofilter. NOTE: To add salt to an established pond, do so gradually. Add in an area unlikely to attract fish attention (to avoid ingestion). If this cannot be avoided then it is best to dissolve the salt in freshwater before use. Do not use salt when replacing evaporated water. If following the 6 month regimen you must perform regular water changes to avoid salt build up. This product is not recommended for new ponds or water changes if source water already has a salinity above 1.0 ppt.

Seachem Marine Buffer
Regular price Dhs. 24.50 Save Dhs. -24.50Seachem Marine Buffer will safely raise marine pH to 8.3. It will not raise pH above 8.3 even if inadvertently overdosed. Marine Buffer is a blended product and is not just sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, commonly sold as a substitute. Such products can raise pH to dangerous levels if not used properly. Marine Buffer contains sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and potassium salts of carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate, and borate. Use Seachem’s MultiTest Marine pH & Alkalinity to check pH and total alkalinity. Use Marine Trace to restore the proper level of trace and feed NutriDiet Marine Flakes for thriving, healthy saltwater fish. Total Alkalinity is a measurement of three main ions: carbonate, bicarbonate, and borate. In saltwater, bicarbonate drives the pH toward 7.8, carbonate drives pH toward 9.1, and borate toward 9.5 or more. Because of the chemistry of buffering systems, the closer you get the pH to the pK of a buffering system, the harder it is for the pH to shift. So, if you blend a buffer so that the combined product drives the pH toward 8.3, then the more you use, the more stable the pH becomes. That is the principle behind Marine Buffer. It is a blended buffer that drives and holds your pH at 8.3 because of the blend. The catch to this seemingly simple solution is that most salt mixes contain substantial amounts of bicarbonate salts. This shifts the pK of the buffering system further towards 7.8, and a buffer that shoots for 8.3 will never quite get there. Thus, the pK of Marine Buffer is actually slightly higher than 8.3 in order to combat the influx of bicarbonate at every water change. Marine Buffer was the first buffer on the market which contained borate salts (which make a saltwater buffering system much more stable), and Marine Buffer remains the most effective pH buffer on the market for marine aquaria.
Directions: Add 5 g (1 level teaspoon) for each 80 L (20 US gallons). For precise dosing, use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale. Dissolve in at least one cup of freshwater. This dose will also raise alkalinity by about 1 meq/L. Add daily until pH stabilizes at 8.3. This will take from a day to a week, depending on original pH and alkalinity. Thereafter, use biweekly or monthly to maintain a pH of 8.3.
If this practice is not adequate, then overstocking, overfeeding, or other poor management practice should be sought as a likely cause. In ionically balanced marine water, Marine Buffer produces little precipitate or cloudiness. If an extensive precipitate forms upon addition of Marine Buffer that does not dissolve within ~15 minutes, then poor ionic balance was present. A water change should be initiated when convenient before further use of the product. Effectiveness improves with continued use. Do not directly mix with any calcium, magnesium, or strontium supplement.

TIPS: It is best to dissolve the buffer in freshwater before use. Seachem Cupramine
Regular price Dhs. 56.00 Save Dhs. -56.00Seachem Cupramine effectively eradicates Oodinium, Cryptocaryon, Amyloodinium, Ichthyophthirius, and other ectoparasites of both freshwater and marine fish. It is superior to copper sulfate, chloride & citrate: it is non-acidic, less toxic to fish, remains in solution, and does not contaminate the filter bed. It is superior to chelates: it is fully charged (ionic), active at low concentrations, and is removable with carbon.
There is more than a four-fold concentration gap between the minimal therapeutic dose (0.2 mg/L) and the toxic dose (0.8 mg/L). Cupramine is easily removable with chemical filtration. It is highly effective and safe in freshwater as well as marine water.
Indications
Cupramine is appropriate for treating a variety of ectoparasites of both freshwater and marine fish. Below are some of the more common infections treatable with Cupramine. Be aware that many diseases and infections share similar physical and behavioral symptoms, e.g. clamped fins, lesions, loss of appetite.
Ich (White Spot)
Ichthyophthirius (freshwater) / Cryptocaryon (saltwater). Looks like salt sprinkled on the fish’s body and fins. Usually accompanied by twitching, flashing, and other signs of stress and irritation. Several parasites are grouped under this name, but the symptoms are almost identical. Ich is among the most common infections of fish, and is entirely treatable with diligence and attention to water quality.
Velvet
Piscinoodinium (freshwater) / Amyloodinium (saltwater). Similar to Ich, but smaller and grey-gold. Most often seen in saltwater, but can occur in freshwater as well. Velvet is less common than Ich, but the treatment is almost identical. We see it more often in saltwater than freshwater.
Suggested Treatment Period:
14 days at full concentration (0.25 mg/L for freshwater, 0.5 mg/L for saltwater)
Special Considerations
Keep in mind that many parasites and diseases will mimic the symptoms of Ich or Velvet, and not all of these are best treated with Cupramine. Often, Flukes or Lymphocystis are mistaken for Ich, and these are better treated with ParaGuard. Research possible fish diseases and, if in doubt, consult an exotic animal vet.
It is very important with this parasite to maintain the copper concentration for the full treatment period. A drop in the copper concentration will allow the parasite to multiply and reinfect the fish.
Due to the nature of this parasite, it is normal for the visible signs of infection to get worse before they get better. The medication is still working, but it takes some time for the salt-like cysts on the fish to clear out. Keep up the treatment and the visible spots should clear soon!
Directions
Before Treating, remove all invertebrates - these are extremely sensitive to copper and will not tolerate treatment with a copper-based medication. Turn off UV filters, ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration like MatrixCarbon and Purigen. Do not use in conjunction with any other medication. Do not use any products which contain reducing agents (conditioners, ammonia binders, etc.) while using Cupramine.
Treatment
If the bottle has a dropper cap, use 20 drops (1 mL) per 40 L (10.5 US gallons) the first day, wait 48 hours, then repeat. On non-dropper caps, each inner ring is 1 mL. In freshwater use half dose. Final copper concentration is 0.5 mg/L (0.25 mg/L in freshwater). Leave at this concentration for 14 days. Do not redose without testing (MultiTest Copper). If tank has ever been treated with an ionic copper (e.g. copper chloride, sulfate or citrate), test copper level after initial dosing. Although most fish tolerate Cupramine to 0.8 mg/L, it is not advisable to exceed 0.6 mg/L copper.
Finish the Full Treatment
Ich, velvet, and many other parasites spend a large portion of their life cycle as a cyst that is immune to medication and hiding in the substrate of your tank. Remember that you need to finish the full treatment even if you can’t see parasites on the fish!
After Treating
Cupramine can be removed using carbon or CupriSorb. Leave the copper-absorbing media in your tank for at least a week after the copper concentration has reached 0 to ensure all traces of the medication have been completely removed.

Seachem Cichlid Lake Salt (250g)
Regular price Dhs. 46.50 Save Dhs. -46.50Seachem Cichlid Lake Salt is a chemically sound blend of salts designed to replicate the natural environment of Rift Lake African Cichlids. It contains all physiologically essential elements such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, and includes trace components such as iron, aluminum, and iodide. Although the major Rift Lakes contain basically the same mineral salts, they do so in greatly differing concentrations. Cichlid Lake Salt is formulated so that dosages vary depending on the lake of origin and need only be added when setting up an aquarium or with water changes. Many competing products are little more than combinations of Epsom salt and bicarbonate of soda. This will not provide a complete replication of the mineral salts that are contained in the lakes of Africa, in particular calcium and potassium. Seachem’s Tanganyika Buffer (pH 9.0–9.4) and Malawi/Victoria Buffer (pH 7.8–8.4) should be used to adjust carbonate hardness and pH.
Directions for use:
All doses given for 40 L (10 US gallons).
Tanganyika: Use 11 g (1.5 teaspoons).
Malawi: Use 5.5 g (3/4 teaspoon).
Victoria: Use 3.6 g (1/2 teaspoon).
Dosages are based on DI or RO water; for other water, measure hardness (GH) first, then add according to need. For reference, the Tanganyika dose raises dGH by 8.8 units. The Malawi dose raises dGH by 4.4 units. The Victoria dose raises dGH by 3 units.
We recommend the following GH ranges:
Tanganyika: 3–5.5 meq/L (8–14 dGH)

Directions: Use 5 g (1 level teaspoon) for each 40–80 L (10 to 20 US gallons) of water each day until desired pH is attained and maintained. Thereafter, use as required to maintain pH, usually no more than once every two to three weeks.
TIPS: It is best to dissolve the buffer in freshwater before use. Use when setting up an aquarium or making water changes (preferably after the addition of Seachem’s Cichlid Lake Salt) and between water changes as needed to maintain pH. Seachem’s Tanganyika Buffer is formulated to maintain a pH between 9.0 and 9.4, depending on the amount used. We do not accept product returns if:

- Tags and labels have been removed or if original packaging is not available
- Items have been used
- Items that have been purchased on sale or promotions
Any consumables like Food, treats, supplement or medication product returns must be unopened, in original packaging with no defects and should have at least 6 months validity to be considered for return by us.
Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any returned items if the product has been used or tampered with.
Please give us some time to process your return/exchange. It takes about 1-2 business days for us to receive the returned or exchanged product(s) back from you. Within 72 hours of receiving the item back in our warehouse, you will receive an e-mail and a credit note that reflects that the amount has been credited into your account. Please allow for up to 21 days for the refund transfer to be completed.

Lost or Damaged Goods
In the unlikely event that any goods are lost or damaged in transit, please contact us immediately via email to info@equestri-online.com. In the case of non-delivery please wait seven working days from the date of your order in case it has been delayed. In case of goods received damaged or faulty please retain the goods, please take photographic evidence and send to us within 48 hours of receiving the item. Upon receipt we will arrange for the damaged or faulty goods to be exchanged or we will provide a store credit of the cost of the goods.

Any orders received Friday to Sunday will be delivered on the following week.
Sharjah & Ajman: We endeavour to ship all orders promptly and as quickly as possible. Deliveries within Sharjah & Ajman are delivered within a maximum of three (3) working days. We always try to deliver as quickly as possible.
Abu Dhabi: We endeavour to ship all orders promptly and as quickly as possible. Deliveries within Abu Dhabi are delivered within a maximum of five (5) working days. We always try to deliver as quickly as possible.
Other Emirates: We endeavour to ship all orders promptly. Deliveries to other Emirates (not including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah & Ajman) are received within seven (7) working days.
Delivery Charges:
Dubai, Sharjah & Ajman: “Free Delivery” is applicable for orders over AED150 that are being delivered to your home or office address, subject to availability of the item(s) you have ordered.
For orders valued below AED150, delivery charges apply. Delivery fees are AED40 (applicable to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman).
Other Emirates: “Free Delivery” is applicable for orders over AED150 that are being delivered to your home or office address, subject to availability of the item(s) you have ordered.
