Seachem StabilityRegular price Dhs. 25.50 Save Dhs. -25.50
Seachem Stability will rapidly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in freshwater and marine systems, thereby preventing the #1 cause of fish death: "new tank syndrome". Stability is formulated specifically for the aquarium and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The bacteria employed by Stability are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use. Stability is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management.
The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc. When any of these parameters are not strictly within the proper range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Stability is not limited this way. The necessary conditions for the growth of Stability's bacteria strains encompass a very broad range. When other bacteria begin to die off (usually from high organic loads caused by the undetected death of an organism), Stability simply becomes more effective.
Directions: Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 US gallons) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium. Product shelf life is 4 years from date of manufacture. Stability should ideally be used in conjunction with biological filtration such as Seachem Matrix. For emergency ammonia control, use Seachem AmGuard.
Seachem de-nitrateRegular price Sale price Dhs. 40.00 Save Dhs. -40.00
Seachem de❊nitrate is an economical, natural, porous material with a pore distribution and geometry that promotes both aerobic nitrification within the first few millimeters of depth and anaerobic denitrification at the core. The material has a high surface area and supports a high density of bacteria. Although de❊nitrate has capacity to trap nitrate, this, as with other nitrate retaining materials, such as certain zeolites and synthetic resins, is quite limited and the primary mechanism of nitrate removal is anaerobic. “Live” rocks or reef rocks remove nitrate by anaerobic denitrification. de❊nitrate removes nitrate by the same process. Efficiency is magnified several folds by forcing the water to filter through the porous de❊nitrate. As with reef rock, anaerobic conditions are achieved by the porosity and the depletion of oxygen by the aerobic process at the surface. Excessive flow rates should, therefore, be avoided, as they may impede development of an adequate anaerobic environment to support denitrifying bacteria. de❊nitrate is also an excellent media for aerobic nitrification and it makes an ideal biological filter in drip trays, canister filters, sumps, or even box filters. At high flow rates (greater than 100 US gallons per hour), it will function solely as an aerobic filter. At slow flow rates (less than 50 US gallons per hour), it will function as both an aerobic filter and an anaerobic denitrifying filter.
Directions: For best results, de❊nitrate should be placed to assure the flow of water through it, such as in a canister filter, chemical filtration module, or box filter. Flow rate should not exceed 200 L (50 US gallons) per hour. If higher flow rates are unavoidable, use Matrix or Pond Matrix. It is best to rinse off dust before use. Once de❊nitrate has been in use for several days, nitrate concentrations should start to fall and level off gradually at a concentration of about 4–5 mg/L as nitrate. As long as nitrate concentrations remain under control, the product is not exhausted. Each 500 mL of de❊nitrate treats about 100–200 L (25–50 US gallons), depending on initial nitrate concentration and the current biological load. Enough should be used to remove nitrate at a rate at least as fast as the rate of formation. If very high nitrates are initially present, they should be brought down to less than 20 mg/L with water changes.
Seachem SafeRegular price Dhs. 68.50 Save Dhs. -68.50
Seachem Safe is the complete and super-concentrated dry conditioner for both fresh and salt water. Safe removes chlorine, chloramine and detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. It is non-acidic and will not impact pH. A further bonus for the reef hobbyist—Safe will not over-activate skimmers. Safe may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. It contains a binder which renders ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate non-toxic, allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water. When transporting or quarantining fish, use Seachem StressGuard. When adding new fish, use Stability. Both are ideal for use with Safe.
Use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 1,250 L (300 US gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine or use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) for every 300 L (75 US gallons) for ammonia. For precise dosing, use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale.
NOTE: These directions supersede all other prior packaging. May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite and nitrate in an emergency, up to 4 times normal dose may be used. If temperature is > 30 °C (86 °F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.

Seachem Marine Trace (250ml)Regular price Dhs. 40.00 Save Dhs. -40.00
Replenishment of a number of trace elements is required to maintain an environment ideal for the growth and reproduction of marine life, but while the importance of trace elements has been recognized by aquarists for many years, the physiological reasons are not fully understood. The chemical elements in seawater are varied, and, likewise their addition to the aquarium in trace quantities has varied effects on a variety of saltwater plant and invertebrate species. In general, though, these elements are important for metabolic processes and pigment formation. Addition of iron, for instance, has been shown to benefit coloring and growth for corals, anemones, and other photosynthetic animals.
Seachem Marine Trace supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated to be necessary for proper fish health and growth. Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis. Marine Trace contains only those elements actually demonstrated to be required by fish.
*Nutrient Requirements of Fish, National Academy of Sciences, pp. 16-21,1993.
Directions: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 L (20 US gallons) twice a week. Feed NutriDiet Marine Flakes and/or NutriDiet Marine Plus Flakes for optimal fish health.
Seachem Marine SaltRegular price Dhs. 420.00 Save Dhs. -420.00
Seachem Marine Salt is specifically designed to replicate the saltwater marine environment. It provides every major, minor and trace element necessary. This ensures that even the most delicate marine fish, invertebrates and plants will thrive. Marine Salt’s enhanced alkalinity ensures a more stable pH than competing salt blends. Marine Salt possesses excellent solubility characteristics and will provide a clear, ready to use solution in only a few minutes. Marine Salt is a convenient and easy to use one-part formula that is ideal for mixing either small or large batches of saltwater. Utilizing state of the art production facilities ensures a consistent and uniform particle size that will not separate in packaging or shipping and will provide a consistent saltwater mix every time. For Reef environments, use Seachem Reef Salt instead. It is specifically designed to meet the requirements of a reef system.
Directions: Mix Marine Salt with dechlorinated tap or purified water. We recommend the use of a commercial dechlorinator like Prime to neutralize any tap water chlorine and/or chloramines. If source water quality is extremely poor we recommend purification with a Seachem Pinnacle RO/DI system.
NOTE: To prepare small quantities, use 34 g of Marine Salt per each liter (1/2 cup per each US gallon) of water.
Stir well to ensure a good mix. Although the Marine Salt solution may be used immediately, we suggest aerating the water until it achieves oxygen/carbon dioxide equilibrium.
Measure specific gravity. Recommended range is 1.020 – 1.023 at 24 °C (75 °F).
NOTE: 675 g of Marine Salt is formulated to create 20 liters (1.4 lbs per 5 US gallons) of saltwater at a specific gravity of 1.021.
Adjust salt level accordingly. If specific gravity is too low, add more Marine Salt. If too high, add more dechlorinated or purified water.
Change 25% of aquarium water every 2-4 weeks (or as necessary) to maintain optimum water quality.
USAGE NOTE: NEVER mix salt in an aquarium containing animals. In New Aquariums: Transfer animals to the aquarium AFTER salt is completely mixed and aerated and specific gravity has been adjusted. Use Seachem’s Stability to avoid “new tank syndrome” and prevent unnecessary animal losses in a new system.
CAUTION: Marine Salt is not for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children. Contact in dry form may cause skin or eye irritation. In case of eye contact, completely flush eye(s) with cool water and seek medical attention. See the bottom of this page for MSDS information..
NOTE: To control pH between water changes use Seachem’s Marine Buffer. To restore trace elements between water changes use Seachem’s Marine Trace .
Seachem Marine BufferRegular price Dhs. 22.50 Save Dhs. -22.50
Seachem Marine Buffer will safely raise marine pH to 8.3. It will not raise pH above 8.3 even if inadvertently overdosed. Marine Buffer is a blended product and is not just sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, commonly sold as a substitute. Such products can raise pH to dangerous levels if not used properly. Marine Buffer contains sodium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and potassium salts of carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride, sulfate, and borate. Use Seachem’s MultiTest Marine pH & Alkalinity to check pH and total alkalinity. Use Marine Trace to restore the proper level of trace and feed NutriDiet Marine Flakes for thriving, healthy saltwater fish. Total Alkalinity is a measurement of three main ions: carbonate, bicarbonate, and borate. In saltwater, bicarbonate drives the pH toward 7.8, carbonate drives pH toward 9.1, and borate toward 9.5 or more. Because of the chemistry of buffering systems, the closer you get the pH to the pK of a buffering system, the harder it is for the pH to shift. So, if you blend a buffer so that the combined product drives the pH toward 8.3, then the more you use, the more stable the pH becomes. That is the principle behind Marine Buffer. It is a blended buffer that drives and holds your pH at 8.3 because of the blend. The catch to this seemingly simple solution is that most salt mixes contain substantial amounts of bicarbonate salts. This shifts the pK of the buffering system further towards 7.8, and a buffer that shoots for 8.3 will never quite get there. Thus, the pK of Marine Buffer is actually slightly higher than 8.3 in order to combat the influx of bicarbonate at every water change. Marine Buffer was the first buffer on the market which contained borate salts (which make a saltwater buffering system much more stable), and Marine Buffer remains the most effective pH buffer on the market for marine aquaria.
Directions: Add 5 g (1 level teaspoon) for each 80 L (20 US gallons). For precise dosing, use the Seachem Digital Spoon Scale. Dissolve in at least one cup of freshwater. This dose will also raise alkalinity by about 1 meq/L. Add daily until pH stabilizes at 8.3. This will take from a day to a week, depending on original pH and alkalinity. Thereafter, use biweekly or monthly to maintain a pH of 8.3.
If this practice is not adequate, then overstocking, overfeeding, or other poor management practice should be sought as a likely cause. In ionically balanced marine water, Marine Buffer produces little precipitate or cloudiness. If an extensive precipitate forms upon addition of Marine Buffer that does not dissolve within ~15 minutes, then poor ionic balance was present. A water change should be initiated when convenient before further use of the product. Effectiveness improves with continued use. Do not directly mix with any calcium, magnesium, or strontium supplement.

Seachem Liquid Marine Buffer will safely raise marine pH to 8.3 while adjusting alkalinity. It will not raise pH above 8.3 even if inadvertently overdosed. Liquid Marine Buffer contains a balanced blend of bicarbonate, carbonate and borate salts designed to raise pH and restore disrupted buffer systems to the proper balance. Use Seachem’s MultiTest Marine pH & Alkalinity to check pH and total alkalinity. Use Marine Trace to restore the proper level of trace and feed NutriDiet Marine Flakes for thriving, healthy saltwater fish.
Seachem Liquid Marine Buffer shares the same blend as Marine Buffer powder; thus, it confers the same benefits. It is a blended buffer that drives and holds your pH at 8.3 because of the blend. The pK of Liquid Marine Buffer is actually slightly higher than 8.3 in order to combat the influx of bicarbonate at every water change.
Directions: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 20 L (5 US gallons) daily until pH stabilizes at 8.3. This may take from a day to a week depending on original pH, alkalinity and buffer system balance. Thereafter, use as needed to maintain pH.
