JBL Algol is a water conditioner to combat algae in freshwater aquariums. For beautiful freshwater aquariums use this product to combat all algae species fast and intensively without causing harm to fish and microorganisms when used correctly.

Application only in the morning. Before use a partial water change of 30 % is recommended. Ensure sufficient oxygen content by means of aeration during the treatment.
To use: 10 ml/40 l water. Example with 60 l aquarium: 15 ml.

JBL ProAquaTest NO2 Nitrate is a quick and effective test to determine the optimal nitrite value in freshwater and marine aquariums and in ponds. Nitrite is a toxic nitrogen compound, which is formed when the bacterial balance is disturbed or when setting up a new aquarium. The test shows the exact nitrite content of the water

Why test?
Nitrite is produced when bacteria degrade protein and ammonium. It is normally processed further into non-toxic nitrate. In aquarium and pond water nitrite (NO2) should not be measurable. If nitrate is measurable, it is a sign that the bacterial degradation process has been disturbed. From a concentration of 0.4 mg/l onwards it is dangerous or even fatal for fish, because nitrite blocks the transport of oxygen in the blood. This can be remedied by water changes and good bacteria starters, such as JBL Denitrol and JBL BactoPond.

Simple at home laboratory comparator system, to use simply fill glass vials with sample water, add reagents to one vial, place vials in holder, read values off colour chart. When setting up a new freshwater aquarium it is recommended to run the test daily for 3 weeks. For marine aquariums the test can be run once per week. JBL ProAquaTest KH Carbonate Hardness is a quick test for simple and reliable monitoring to determine the ideal carbonate hardness (KH) in freshwater and marine aquariums and ponds. To test simply fill the plastic cuvette with sample water, add reagent drop by drop until colour changes from blue to yellow. Number of drops = level of carbonate hardness. Ideal to start using when you set up a new aquarium and test once per week upon setup and thereafter run the test once a month. Why test?
