Unlike terrestrial animals, fish obtain nutrients from both their food and environment. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation, thus it is important to restore them on a regular basis. Discus Trace contains only those elements actually demonstrated* to be required by fish.
Aquarium salt is often used to add salts back to aquarium water. Some fish will tolerate this therapeutic use of salt; however, some fish are less tolerant. Discus as a species will not tolerate this elevated level of sodium in the water. If you keep live plants in your discus aquarium, the plants will not tolerate this either. Discus Trace is a well rounded trace mineral supplement that does not contain sodium and is used to replenish trace and ultra trace minerals that are demonstrated to be necessary for fish health and growth.

Seachem Paraguard
Regular price Dhs. 40.00 Save Dhs. -40.00Seachem ParaGuard is the only fish and filter safe aldehyde based (10% by weight) parasite control product available (for parasites on fish). Unlike highly toxic and difficult to use formalin based medications, ParaGuard contains no formaldehyde or methanol and will not alter pH. ParaGuard employs a proprietary, synergistic blend of aldehydes, malachite green, and fish protective polymers that effectively and efficiently eradicates many ectoparasites (e.g. ich, etc.) and external fungal/bacterial/viral lesions (e.g., fin rot). It is particularly useful in hospital and receiving tanks for new fish and whenever new fish are introduced to a community tank.
ParaGuard is appropriate for treating a variety of parasitic infections of exotic fish. Below are some of the more common infections treatable with ParaGuard. Be aware that many diseases and infections share similar physical and behavioral symptoms, e.g. clamped fins, lesions, loss of appetite.

Our research has shown that many fish are attracted to natural odors, such as garlic. Simply mix GarlicGuard with any food item, such as Seachem’s NutriDiet Flakes, to attract the interest of finicky eaters, e.g. discus and marine angelfish. GarlicGuard is safe for reef and planted aquariums.
Directions: Shake well before use. Soak food in GarlicGuard before feeding. Safe for use with medicated foods (to attract the interest of finicky eaters to the medicated food). For example, for enhanced effectiveness against Ich and other parasites use Seachem’s Focus and MetroPlex as follows: Add 1 measure of MetroPlex to 1 measure of Focus per tablespoon of food. Seachem StressGuard 250ml
Regular price Dhs. 54.50 Save Dhs. -54.50Seachem StressGuard is the premium slime coat protection product. StressGuard will reduce stress and ammonia toxicity whenever handling or transporting fish. StressGuard binds to exposed protein in wounds to promote healing of injured fish and to reduce the likelihood of primary and secondary infections. StressGuard is compatible with all medications except those that are copper based. StressGuard is not amine based and will not interfere with Purigen; or HyperSorb regeneration. StressGuard does not coat resins or clog filtration like competing “slime coat” type products can. What makes StressGuard very successful at healing is the fact that it contains protein active colloids. This protein active colloidal agent actively seeks out any wounds, abrasions, or places where exposed proteins are and attaches to this area to help directly deliver the disinfectant in the product and start the healing process. This protein active colloid, because it binds to the exposed proteins, also acts like a liquid bandage to the abrasion. Some products are marketed to be squirted in the bag when a fish is purchased. Those products are generally acidic, with some brands being a very strong acid. Putting such a product in a small, enclosed container with a fish often does more harm than any intended good. StressGuard has a pH of 7.0. It will not affect the pH of an aquarium, even at large doses. There are no other products on the market that can compare to the effectiveness of StressGuard.
Directions: Use 1/2–1 capful (2.5–5 mL) to every 40 L (10 US gallons) daily until signs of stress have abated or healing is complete. Dose may be safely doubled.

Pond Stability will also prevent and reduce sludge build up. Pond Stability is formulated specifically for the pond and contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria which facilitate the breakdown of waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. The bacteria employed by Pond Stability are non-sulfur fixing and will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide. Pond Stability is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms as well as aquatic plants, thus there is no danger of over use. Pond Stability is the culmination of nearly a decade of research and development and represents the current state of the art in natural biological management.
The bacteria used in competing products are inherently unstable. The conditions necessary for their growth and development fall into a very narrow range of temperatures, pH, organic loads, etc. When any of these parameters are not strictly within the proper range, the bacterial culture quickly crashes and dies. Nitrospira bacteria are particularly notorious for being difficult to culture. Pond Stability does not contain any of the aforementioned bacteria. The bacteria strains in Pond Stability have been in development for over a decade. The necessary conditions for growth of our bacterial strains encompass a very broad range. When other bacteria begin to die off (usually from high organic loads caused by the undetected death of an organism), Pond Stability simply works harder and grows faster!

Seachem Pond Salt
Regular price Dhs. 204.50 Save Dhs. -204.50Seachem Pond Salt is a chemically sound blend of salts designed to replicate the native ionic environment of goldfish and koi without adversely impacting on pond plants when used at the recommended dosage. It can also be useful to temporarily reduce nitrite toxicity in an emergency situation. It does not impact pH. For pH control, use Pond Acid Buffer or Pond pH Buffer.
Pond Salt is more than just a simple sodium chloride product. Other salts can burn leaves and roots in a planted pond. However, Pond Salt does not cause this type of damage, and actually provides many nutrients crucial to healthy plant growth. Pond Salt is a safe and effective alternative to the sodium chloride based pond salts so prevalent.
Directions: When setting up a pond and when making water changes: 100 g (5 tablespoons) for each 200 L (50 US gallons). This amount will yield 0.5 ppt. Once every 6 months: 250 g (12.5 tablespoons) for each 200 L (50 US gallons). For emergency relief of nitrite toxicity: 1 kg (3 US cups) for each 200 L (50 US gallons). Once nitrite toxicity has subsided a water change should be initiated to reduce salinity. (Please note: nitrite levels do not fall, only the toxicity to the fish). The presence of high levels of nitrite indicates a problem with the biofilter. Use Pond Stability to restore and maintain the pond biofilter. NOTE: To add salt to an established pond, do so gradually. Add in an area unlikely to attract fish attention (to avoid ingestion). If this cannot be avoided then it is best to dissolve the salt in freshwater before use. Do not use salt when replacing evaporated water. If following the 6 month regimen you must perform regular water changes to avoid salt build up. This product is not recommended for new ponds or water changes if source water already has a salinity above 1.0 ppt.

Seachem Cupramine
Regular price Dhs. 56.00 Save Dhs. -56.00Seachem Cupramine effectively eradicates Oodinium, Cryptocaryon, Amyloodinium, Ichthyophthirius, and other ectoparasites of both freshwater and marine fish. It is superior to copper sulfate, chloride & citrate: it is non-acidic, less toxic to fish, remains in solution, and does not contaminate the filter bed. It is superior to chelates: it is fully charged (ionic), active at low concentrations, and is removable with carbon.
There is more than a four-fold concentration gap between the minimal therapeutic dose (0.2 mg/L) and the toxic dose (0.8 mg/L). Cupramine is easily removable with chemical filtration. It is highly effective and safe in freshwater as well as marine water.
Indications
Cupramine is appropriate for treating a variety of ectoparasites of both freshwater and marine fish. Below are some of the more common infections treatable with Cupramine. Be aware that many diseases and infections share similar physical and behavioral symptoms, e.g. clamped fins, lesions, loss of appetite.
Ich (White Spot)
Ichthyophthirius (freshwater) / Cryptocaryon (saltwater). Looks like salt sprinkled on the fish’s body and fins. Usually accompanied by twitching, flashing, and other signs of stress and irritation. Several parasites are grouped under this name, but the symptoms are almost identical. Ich is among the most common infections of fish, and is entirely treatable with diligence and attention to water quality.
Velvet
Piscinoodinium (freshwater) / Amyloodinium (saltwater). Similar to Ich, but smaller and grey-gold. Most often seen in saltwater, but can occur in freshwater as well. Velvet is less common than Ich, but the treatment is almost identical. We see it more often in saltwater than freshwater.
Suggested Treatment Period:
14 days at full concentration (0.25 mg/L for freshwater, 0.5 mg/L for saltwater)
Special Considerations
Keep in mind that many parasites and diseases will mimic the symptoms of Ich or Velvet, and not all of these are best treated with Cupramine. Often, Flukes or Lymphocystis are mistaken for Ich, and these are better treated with ParaGuard. Research possible fish diseases and, if in doubt, consult an exotic animal vet.
It is very important with this parasite to maintain the copper concentration for the full treatment period. A drop in the copper concentration will allow the parasite to multiply and reinfect the fish.
Due to the nature of this parasite, it is normal for the visible signs of infection to get worse before they get better. The medication is still working, but it takes some time for the salt-like cysts on the fish to clear out. Keep up the treatment and the visible spots should clear soon!
Directions
Before Treating, remove all invertebrates - these are extremely sensitive to copper and will not tolerate treatment with a copper-based medication. Turn off UV filters, ozone filters, and remove chemical filtration like MatrixCarbon and Purigen. Do not use in conjunction with any other medication. Do not use any products which contain reducing agents (conditioners, ammonia binders, etc.) while using Cupramine.
Treatment
If the bottle has a dropper cap, use 20 drops (1 mL) per 40 L (10.5 US gallons) the first day, wait 48 hours, then repeat. On non-dropper caps, each inner ring is 1 mL. In freshwater use half dose. Final copper concentration is 0.5 mg/L (0.25 mg/L in freshwater). Leave at this concentration for 14 days. Do not redose without testing (MultiTest Copper). If tank has ever been treated with an ionic copper (e.g. copper chloride, sulfate or citrate), test copper level after initial dosing. Although most fish tolerate Cupramine to 0.8 mg/L, it is not advisable to exceed 0.6 mg/L copper.
Finish the Full Treatment
Ich, velvet, and many other parasites spend a large portion of their life cycle as a cyst that is immune to medication and hiding in the substrate of your tank. Remember that you need to finish the full treatment even if you can’t see parasites on the fish!
After Treating
Cupramine can be removed using carbon or CupriSorb. Leave the copper-absorbing media in your tank for at least a week after the copper concentration has reached 0 to ensure all traces of the medication have been completely removed.

Seachem Tanganyika Buffer (250g)
Regular price Dhs. 46.50 Save Dhs. -46.50Seachem Tanganyika Buffer is a blend of carbonate salts designed to enhance the natural environment of cichlids by increasing alkalinity, carbonate hardness, buffer capacity, and pH. It is formulated to maintain a pH of 9.0–9.4. For optimum replication of the Tanganyikan environment, use with Cichlid Lake Salt, Cichlid Trace, and NutriDiet Cichlid Flakes.
Directions: Use 5 g (1 level teaspoon) for each 40–80 L (10 to 20 US gallons) of water each day until desired pH is attained and maintained. Thereafter, use as required to maintain pH, usually no more than once every two to three weeks.
TIPS: It is best to dissolve the buffer in freshwater before use. Use when setting up an aquarium or making water changes (preferably after the addition of Seachem’s Cichlid Lake Salt) and between water changes as needed to maintain pH. Seachem’s Tanganyika Buffer is formulated to maintain a pH between 9.0 and 9.4, depending on the amount used. For lower pH, use Malawi/Victoria Buffer (pH 7.8–8.4), either alone or in combination with Tanganyika Buffer.
